The virus causing COVID-19, called SARS-CoV-2, can survive for up to 1-2 days on certain surfaces. Other bacteria like MRSA can survive for weeks or even months!

Q: What is the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?

Cleaning surfaces means wiping away any grime, grease, dust, or organic materials and tidying away clutter, whereas disinfecting kills the bacteria that live on surfaces using special cleaning products.

Q: How much does your infection control services cost?

It’s difficult to provide you with an accurate estimate for the emergency remediation of your water, smoke, or infection-related situation. The remediation cost will vary from case to case based on the extent of help necessary. However, we can offer you a Not to Exceed (NTE) price for our initial emergency response and will then get back to you with a more comprehensive estimate.

Q: Can you prevent outbreaks?

Corporate Care can work with your existing cleaning crew to teach them how to properly clean and sanitize surfaces throughout a building, helping to decrease the chances of some outbreaks within the office. However, not all outbreaks can be contained or minimized with regular routine cleaning, where infection control services may be needed.

When it comes to disinfecting and sanitizing surfaces, it is important to note that, in most cases, these treatments apply to hard surfaces. Hard surfaces include things like walls and countertops. In many cases, including COVID-19 disinfection services, you cannot disinfect soft surfaces, such as upholstery and carpet. As such, you may need to replace your soft surfaces after an outbreak or clean them more frequently.

Can you prevent outbreaks?

When would a business need infection control services?

Currently, COVID-19 disinfection is one of the most common reasons, but a flu outbreak may also warrant infection control services. Suppose someone has bled in your building, such as after having a bloody nose. In that case, you may need to clean the blood and dispose of the biohazard material properly.
